New Year Ripple Finished!

Deliberately timed to finish today (I worked the final round of the border this morning), here, at last, is the ripple afghan I started on 1 January 2007.

After my mother passed away in 2001 my dad sent me all her yarn (in 13 boxes!). I wanted to use some of it to make myself a small afghan to put over the back of my chair and snuggle up under on cold days. The Unger Roly-Sport was the only yarn there was enough of - everything else was just one or two balls. But I'm glad she had plenty of the Roly-Sport because it's so soft and squishy. I wonder what she meant to do with it? I hope she'd be pleased with my choice.

Happy 2010 everybody! May all your rippley dreams come true. :-)

Great colors and stripe pattern-- scrappy, yet organized, if you know what I mean. Happy New Year!

WOW! What a gorgeous afghan. The border really gave it a finished look. Could you possibly share how you did the border?
