All Finished!!!!

I'm still amazed that I completed this blanket. I'm a great starter of projects, but finishing... well I often never get to that part. lol

The first picture is my update of what I had done since I last posted. The orange stitch holder marks where I was.

The next picture is of the completed blanket on my sons bed. He loves it! I'm taking a little break from ripples, but I do plan on making Caedmon some ripple pillow shams to match his new blanket. I'll post those on here when I get around to doing it.

My Weekly Update

So I've spent the week watching all 6 Star Wars movies (I had never seen them before) with my family and working on my sons ripple blanket.
I've reached a point where the blanket is so big it takes most of my crochet time to get it settled so I can work on it.
It's also getting frustrating that I can't see my progress as easily since it's gotten so large. So that's what the little blue stitch marker is for. It marks the place I was the last time I posted. So from it to dark orange is what I have accomplished this week.

Ripple Update

I haven't touched my ripple blanket since Sunday. It's been a crazy busy week with meeting, family in town (yes again, but my DH's family this time) and my little boy's 7th Bday yesterday. Last week my internet was down and I got a lot done so I guess that makes up for it.
Anyway this is the newest picture of my sons ripple blanket. I am halfway through the 39th stripe now, and have plans for a rippely weekend!!!!
The picture is a close-up of what I did last week (from the Black-Dark Orange-Burgandy area to the white). I have a different picture of the whole blanket up on My Blog .

Moving right along

I'm on day 17 of my ripple and I'm 22 stripes into it (44 rows). I had family up to visit all weekend so I didn't work on it much.
I've made up for that since they left though. Crochet eases my stress and since my parents left mad at me, I've been pretty stressed. Ah my family we love the drama!! lol

I figure that I am 1/3 of the way through the blanket. Not too bad for 2 and 1/2 weeks. I've added 3 more stripes since I took this picture (Black, Darker Orange, Burgandy). I still have 3 colors that I haven't used yet (Grey, White and Purple). I am not really loving this darker segment of the blanket I seem to be stuck in right now, but the more I add the more I am loving it.

I think part of the addiction is the random nature of the colors thanks to the stripe maker. I am making it a point to not cheat and look ahead so that I am surprised at what color I get to use with each stripe.

Mandi's Ripple

Hey Y'all! My name is Mandi and I live in NC. I started working on my ripple last Monday. So it's been going for almost two weeks now.
I'm making it for my sons bed, he picked out all the colors (some a little bright for my taste). Right now I'm 15 stripes into it (each stripe is two rows so 30 rows) and I have a long way to go. The blanket measures 85 inches wide, so it will make a nice addition to his full size bed when I get finished with it.
The picture below was taken a few days ago since then I've added 5 more stripes (red, black, burgandy, green and another navy). I will probably update the picture on my blog sometime this weekend if I can get a good picture ( my blog ).
I love working with what the random stripe generator spit out for me! It takes all the thought out of the project for me, and makes this blaket soothing and mindless to work on.
Oh I'm using the Easy Ripple pattern from here.
