The Blue Mint Ripple

Hi Everyone!

I hope that everyone had a fun and safe holiday. As I'm sure many of you were doing, I was busy making blankets for my family for Christmas, so I haven't had time to post in a while. In November, I had a gal from my poetry class ask me to make her a blanket (my first paid crochet job!). Since I didn't know her that well, I decided to stick with a ripple. Everyone loves ripples, right?

I managed to finish her blanket in one week and one day, which is pretty good considering I was making it for a girl who is 6'1"!! It was the only project I worked on during the whole time and I carried it around with me everywhere. I was very happy with the finished product and so was she, which was the important thing. You can read more about this blanket and others on my blog.
The yarn I used was Caron Simply Soft Brites "Blue Mint" (hence the name of the blanket) and Red Heart Super Saver Black. I used Jan Eaton's 200 ripple stitch patterns book and I think the stitch was called "Mariner" (not quite sure on that one), but I used my own color sequence.

I've lost count as to how many ripples I've made. I just can't stop!
