Day 2 Update and needing some feedback

I worked on my ripple last night and had a idea. This is for a baby boy; originally I was going to just do white, light blue and darkblue, repeating that pattern. But after I finished the dark blue I suddenly wondered if that would look boring and thought one single bright color thrown in would live'n it up a bit. So I ran out at lunch a found this bright green and rippled a bit while I ate.

This is what I have so far. And this is the pattern I want to repeat; white, l.blue, d. blue, green, d. blue, l.blue and white again...

I bugged one of my co-workers for her opinion, she liked it. But I'd still like some more opinions. What do you think? Do you think it's working? Does the green "pop" in the middle of that dark blue?

Oh my goodness...

That green is truely my favorite color in the hole world. I even have sneakers that color :D

I think it'll be a beautiful afghan, and any child should love it.

Keep going! Can't wait to see more.

The green pops so much that I don't even see the blue. Maybe you can change up the order of the stripes just for a change of pace!

I love that combination! And it'll be a blanket that will grow as he will... it's not a babyish combination. I love it!

Thank you for the great feedback everyone. I'll keeping going with it. Normally I would use a nice baby yarn but I wanted the afghan to be sturdy and withstand lots of little boy abuse and lots of washing so I'm using good ol' Redheart Supersaver; not the fanciest yarn to be using but RH is great for it's durablity and bright kids colors.
I used used RH to my my son's baby afghan{large granny square} over twenty years ago and it became his "blankie" and lasted him years and years.

I don't like it. I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!! Great choice. It truly livens the blanket up. Makes it a fun baby blanket, that baby won't want to let go.
