My End Is Looking Weird

I have a strange feeling that this edge is just going to keep getting wider every row. Does it look weird to you guys? (I'm using the Soft Waves pattern) When I was working the chain, I ended up doing the increases into the last two chains. Now, every row after that, I still have stitches to work after those last increases. Is this how its supposed to be?

Sounds like your chain was one chain too long. You're supposed to end each row with only one increase. The last stitches after the 2dctog are dc, dc, dc, 2dc in last dc.

So does that mean that every row on that end should end exactly the same way (dc dc dc 2dc into last dc)?

Yes, every row ends like that. And every row begins with 2 dc in first dc, dc, dc, dc, then the 2dctog.

Mine doesn't start with 2 dc in first dc! Mine starts dc, dc, dc, dc, then 2dctog. Soft waves pattern, right? I mean, it's working for me...and I have a huuuuge blanket to show for it...just wondering if biscuitbear may be mistaken, or if I am?

deb - fwiw, mine starts dc, dc, dc, dc, 2dctog. though the chain 3 technically counts as the first dc so maybe that could be counted as '2dc in first dc'.

at any rate, that's what i'm doing and it works :)

I have a corrected version if anyone wants it:) I'm on my third soft waves ripple and once I figured out what was wrong I've been doing great. My edges are very straight. So if I haven't sent it to you already and you want me to just email me at m_darcey@yahoo.com and I'll send it right out.
