I call it a ripple :-)
Okay, my blanket got too big to be moved around (it's 90" x 30" now -ooo, that means I'm 1/3 done!), so it is staying in my office, and I needed a kitchen project. I had seen a project done from the book One Skein (the round bag, done by Knitterly Things) so I got the book. On paging through this just jumped out and grabbed me, and I had just bought a skein of Patons SWS 'cause I just love the colors, and now I have Ripple-y Serendipity

This is so gorgeous! I bought some mohair that I want to crochet into a summer scarf; this pattern is perfect!
I love it! I love it! You did a great job and it is ripple! I tried this pattern once and had a hard time turning. I gave up after a few attempts. I might have to try it again soon.
Ooh! I love it! Like Neapolitan ice cream!
that is very pretty. i don't usually like yarn with multiple colours in it, but this is quite nice!
thanks! I forgot to mention that this was one of the most enjoyable projects I have ever done!
one note: pattern says to crochet into the oirginal loop on the 2nd round: don't: crochet into the top or the chain
SWS is great stuff isn't it? It was perfect for this. I love that people are starting to see ripples in other things outside of blankets.
I have a secret project I'm working up in it...all I can say at the moment is try felting with it. Like.a.dream. It goes fast though, so under no circumstances leave the washer's side for an instant!
That is beautiful!
I love that Patons SWS... gotta watch it though! It felts up in an instant! I have that exact colorway at home, too.
I'd love to know that pattern! It's really eyecatching!
