Bigger...

Some progress on my ripple. I'm enjoying the variation in the red stripes: there are 2 rows for each colour, but only 1 for the red, which means that it's done in a different direction each time I come to it and pops out on different sides of the blanket each time.

Specs: DK wool ( Elle, I think, and Sirdar for the green/brown) and 4mm hook.

This is lovely - very nice ripple effect there with the varying widths of each stripe.

That's cool that the red is popping on different sides. I'm knitting(ok not knitting, cause I hate the yarn, crappy little ends won't stay in) a baby blanket that does that. Very cool!

Using a thinner stripe for the red looks so good -- it pops as others have said and without being overwhelming (as it might be with a thicker stripe). And it's so interesting the way the red looks like a different shade depending on which direction that stripe went.
