I had my gray, pink, green, orange, cream wools ready, but adding it up needed more yarn, so I dug out ecru, brown, a little tan, and some more gray to add to it. It will have a lot more neutral color now, but dh will like it better I think. There are 4 more ecru and 2 more gray not shown here. I think it's going to be pretty, but huge! :-)

I started with 402 chains for a blanket thats a little bit bigger than my king size bed. It's huge... and is taking about a half a scain per 2 row stripe... but I want something that will cover my whole bed instead of just half of it, so it'll just take me a while. Good luck with yours!
thanks. i started with 303 and came up with 6 too many for the pattern, but i think i can just cut those off? i'll post a picture as soon as i get more than the first row done! :-)
I am making mine 87" wide. I did 290 for my beginning and using a K hook. It really depends on the hook you're using to see how many it will take. Do a swatch of a few inches to see if you are consistent. If so, you can figure it out from there.
Hugs and good luck!!
I chained 322, but haven't measured it yet. It hangs well over both sides of my queen sized bed. I'm using an I hook, and mostly worsted weight yarn (I'll be working on this for a while).
