Made from 3 colours of Cascade 220, worsted and a 4.25mm hook, I basically just did a 32 (+2) chain swatch of Susan B.'s Ripple pattern (link on the sidebar), and sewed up the sides leaving a hole for the thumb. They were really quick too, I finished both in one night.
They turned out ok I think. I am going to make a matching ripple scarf to go with them.

Chain 32+2 - then follow SusanB's Easy Ripple pattern, alternating colours for 12 rows.
Then fold in half and use the stray ends to sew the color edges together, leaving room (about 5 rows) for the thumbs.
You should probably work out the hole for the thumb by modelling on your own hand, mine are quite wide so needed a big hole.
Sew in all ends and repeat for a 2nd glove.
I would love to see pics if anyone tries it... :)
