I made it!

I'm so proud! I managed to finish my first real ripple on time for my deadline yesterday, when it was to be used as a gift for a Christening.

Ok, so I had to crochet everywhere I went; at my friends house, in the car going to and fro, in front of the telly, at the hair dressers - and way into the night...

I'm so proud of the finished result and now feel ready to start learning how to read a pattern and get crocheting away. I have bought a magazine with some reasonably simple patterns and will be giving one of them a go in the near future.

Thank you for your kind comments on my blog. I'm proud to be able to call myself not just a crocheter, but a rippler to boot!

Congratulations! It is amazingly beautiful. How you've done a round ripple... without reading a pattern, I have no idea, and commend you for your incredible efforts. I won't even attempt a round ripple. They scare me!

But I am finally learning how to knit *holds up her sticks with messy knit stitches*

Good luck learning to read patterns. If you need help, i'd be glad to give you a hand :)

wonderful accomplishment! I really like the gradations of colour. I think I may have to try out a round ripple after the dble bed ripple I am working on and after the winter scarf ripple that I have planned next!

Gorgeous ripple! I love that it was done in the round. Wow! I'd hate to part with something that nice. The recipient will love it! Great job!

I like that. I just may have to try a round ripple. I've done "regular" ripples before but hadn't thought of doing a round one. Good job.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I think I may just have a natural knack for this crocheting thing. It's so mathematical in nature.(",)
