Christmas ripple done!

I made this for a Christmas present for a friend up north. I am washing it and will put it in a space bag, then at Christmas will mail it to her right in the space bag!
Its kind of fun and was very quick to make.
200 ripple stitches pattern-Granny Chevrons
Yarn: red and green solid-Caron Perfect Match
Variegated red/white/green- Red Heart Holiday yarn bought on ebay.

Hi,Peggy! Your Christmas Granny is gorgeous. Another inspiring idea for me. I bought a bunch of yarn from Herrschners sale catalog after last Christmas. I saw it and I knew I needed it. Not sure what for but I needed it. I thought I might try knitting again, even though I was never very good at it. The colors I bought were Christmas burgundys and deep greens with gold thread running through. I also bought lots of red green and white with silver thread, locally. I've been crocheting granny squares for years and that's what I really like to do. I happened upon the ripple along a few weeks ago and immediately had to start a ripple afghan. My next will have to be a ripple of some kind with some of that Christmas yarn stash. I'm still loving my grannys but now I'm hooked on ripples, too.

Great christmas afghan. What a great idea with the space bags - I was wondering how I was going to ship 2 huge afghans. Thanks!
