here

My ripple along has gone awry. Can anyone help. My pattern is off I want the soft waves but I know this isn't looking right. Now I should probably mention I learned to crochet while watching my son's basketball game. And only after seeing this joining this blog. You have inspired me. My daughter is leaving for college and I am having a maternal breakdown I am not sure what else to call it. so I found this incredibly soft yarn

and matched it to her very happy room and searched to find someone to teach me to crochet. I won't rest until I know that when she is off in that strange country (dorm life) she will have this blanket to wrap her self up in and feel close to home. (Me stomping my foot.) now it's doing something wrong...it's not me of course... (similar obsession to that pregnancy nesting stuff)

It looks right here....
The clips are the first row.

but definitely not here...

Help???

I'm having a hard time seeing it, but I am wondering if your increases are all there. Doesn't Soft Waves call for 2 increases at each peak? Maybe you are doing just one.

Are you using soft waves from the 200 ripples book?

I just looked quick, and I may be wrong, but it LOOKS like on your green rows, you've done 3 in one spot at your increases. Your pink increase looks right, how there are 2 in one spot, but the greens (first row of green) have a third tagging on.

I'll go look again

yeah, it looks like you've just added extra stitches in your 1st, 3rd, 4th green and last orange row.

and your decreases aren't lining up, but I can't tell if that's because you're maybe mis-counting and starting them too early/late OR if its because of the added stitches at your increase.

make any sense? :) Nothing more aggrevating than troubleshooting a project you want to work on :)

I see a few problems going on when I enlarge the photo.

If you want to e-mail your phone # to me at mutterofpurl AT hotmail DOT com, I can give you a call this weekend (free cell time!) and talk you through it.
