Here's the first blanket I started - big long rows of double crochet. Now I think I'm going to go in the opposite direction and do some thicker vertical stripes, assuming I can figure out how to do that. It's Rowan soft wool, and I don't really like working with it.
And here, also being modelled by my sofa, is the Ripple, made using Debbie Bliss Cotton Angora, so much nicer on the hands. It's an overdue wedding gift. If I can bear to give it away...

I like them both, but the ripple is REALLY pretty.
Same here. I like both afgans, of course, the ripple is pretty. I bet it's really soft. I also like the green sofa. I love soft green colors.
Very pretty! Love the purple shades of the ripple!
What lovely blankets! I am also making two at the moment - one in cotton and one in wool, and the cotton is sooo much nicer to use. Wool just doesn't slip through your fingers in the same way.
Both are pretty, but the cotton one really grabs me! Beautiful!
