Hi, everyone! My name is Bobbie and I'm in Madison, Wisconsin. Until a few months ago, I hadn't crocheted since I was a kid, but I was inspired by Alicia Paulson's magnificent ripple afghan. After scoring a bunch of wool yarn from a Hancock Fabrics that was closing, I started my first vertical stripe afghan (thank you, Bella Dia):
After finishing that, I started my first ripple afghan. I'm using Susan B's Easy Ripple Afghan pattern, a size J hook, and a variety of blue, green, white, and purple yarns in cotton and wool. The cotton yarn is from Joann's and Hancock, but the wool is from a beautiful yarn shop here in Madison called Lakeside Fibers.
Happy rippling, everyone!

Your striped afghan is gorgeous--congrats on finishing it! And your ripple is coming along beautifully, I really like your color choice!
l.o.v.e. the madison...spent 5 of the best years of my life there at UW. which makes me think that a badger ripple might just make a good christmas present for "someone"....
welcome bobbie!
