New Afghan!

I'm working on a round ripple pattern I found over at Bernat's website:

The pattern starts out a bit finicky- I've had to alter a couple of spots to keep it lying flat. I think it's going to turn out pretty though! I'm working it up in Oyster Heather and Spruce worsted weight Wool of the Andes from KnitPicks.

In other news, there's a giveaway going on at my blog! I have a set of three adorable handmade dishcloths to give away in celebration of my blogiversary. To enter, just hop over to the giveaway post on my blog and leave a comment. Easy as pie(or Chrysanthemums, in this case)! :)

My first round ripple

This is a baby quilt for a co-worker. His wife just had a gorgeous baby girl!
This is my first attempt at a round ripple. It was a little too ripply, it seems, as it didn't want to lay completely flat. Is that normal, or did I goof? Either way it worked out because it just looks like a big ruffle around the baby. The center is a baby pink, with a round of a multicolored baby print and then edged in white.

Spiderman-ghan

This is Spiderman.....and he needs a Spiderman-ghan!

I saw this pattern a year ago and bought the yarn to make it, but never got around to working it up. Yesterday I was browsing in Ravelry and saw all the completed Spiderman afghans and got obsessed with starting it! I started it last night and hope to have it done before Christmas!
