Here's my latest ripple using Red Heart Strata for the variegated colors and Red Heart solids for the others. I wound up having to use the solid colors because I couldn't find any Strata for sale at the time......of course, Murhpy's Law kicked in and when I was almost finished, I saw it at Mary Maxim's online (at least I think that was where I saw it). After running it through the washer and dryer it's as soft as a lamb and I'm very pleased with it as I know a little one will be snug and warm when covered with this ripple made with love.Let me know what you think.
It's wonderful and the stripe-solid-stripe pattern looks completely intentional and fantastic! I found RH Strata very straw-y when I used it but I have heard that it softens up nicely when washed.
I've been doing big chunky knitting lately (then felting) -but this pretty fine work makes me itch to do something similar
I found you via Leah hope you don't mind if I shamelessly promote my latest blog post which is shamelessly promoting a new crafty charity project - please read it and if you feel able help advertise (or contribute in any other way) that would be FAB
It's a yarn thing. It's a crochet thing. It's sometimes a knit thing too. It's a getting back to the basics thing. It's the discovery of a mindless, escapist, reassuringly repetitive thing. It's a reveling in tradition, let it sooth your soul thing.
