Addicted to rippling

At least I was with the first afghan I made. I had been reading this blog for awhile before attempting to learn the ripple stitch. I was intimidated after reading some blankets took months to make. I'm more of an immediate gratification kind of gal.

I found the simple directions right here -- double crochet with increases and decreases of 3 for the peaks and valleys.

I've decided my dh is officially the color-picker- outer. He bought these yarns for me for Christmas. Finished blanket works great in both our living room and bedroom.

No fear, once I got started I couldn't stop and finished this blanket in 10 days -- much to the chagrin of everyone else in my family, even though they now all fight over it. Here's my youngest asleep under it and Alice on top.

If you want to see the baby blanket I'm working on now or what keeps me busy when I'm not crocheting, come visit my blog.

Wow, that really does look nice. Your hubby's got a good eye for colours. And you've done a beautiful job. Love the kiddie and woofer pic!
