Treading Water
I'm just treading water, slowly making progress on my ripple afghan. I really wish I could crochet faster- each color (two rows, about 1") takes me about an hour and a half. My goal this weekend was to get past the halfway point- but I didn't quite make it. This blanket is 67 1/2" (171.5cm) wide, so I want it to be at least 70" (177.8cm) long. That is 70 color repeats, and so far I'm at 30. I'm still really enjoying this project- I've gone back and seen pictures from the start and I really have made quite a bit of progress. It's starting to get heavy, too- so far it weighs just over 2 pounds!

The colors are beautiful!!
I love the colors you are using.
We have an ongoing joke at our house - if I sit in the rocking chair, then the faster I rock, the faster I crochet. ;)I get this kind of rhythm going on.

i love the more rounded ripples as opposed to the pointed ones. what is the pattern you used?
very nice colours. :-)
i agree with jeanetta about the rounded ripples. they're my favourite style as well. is it from the 200 ripple stitiches book? after so many people were mentioning the book here, i had to get myself a copy. lol! :-D
I forgot to mention that-- I am using the Soft Waves from 200 ripple stitches. I really liked the way some of the others using that pattern came out.
OMG!!! 1,72 mts!!! that's a lot of waves...
I love the colors too...so, don't give up...you are making a great and beautiful job!

Thank you soo much!

I too am using the soft waves pattern and I too am moving along very slowly. My goal is to have it done by October when it starts getting cold here in Idaho and I'll want a soft ripply blanket to snuggle under. Nice colors!
