Riss' Ripple - Big 'n purdy
Well, here it is. I'd have to say that its about a quarter of the way finished. The big gray stripe is actually a silver and a lighter green. I'm kicking myself for that decision. I still have 5 more colors to add today, and then i'll have done a stripe of every color I have. Then its time to start repeating. Looking at it in these pics makes me regret using the verigated yarns... but it looks beautiful in real life. They don't call out as much attention.
I have all night to ripple too, as the bf is closing tonight. He's actually been suprisingly supportive of this endeavor.
Well... back to the ripplage.

Nice!
I was wary of using variegated colors too, but then I realized that since I'm using SO MANY colors that no one stripe is going to stand out. Plus I had a LOT of variegated yarn laying around, and this is a stash-buster, after all.
Don't regret the silver and green together. I think it's desirable to have areas in a "scrap" blanket or quilt that fool the eye, where the pattern seems to be broken. These quirks add true character.
It's beautiful Riss. I think the colours look great and the grey and green is so subtle. Lovely job.
Thanks so much for the encouragement guys...
You're keeping me going...
